Dear Residents,
We are excited to announce that your community will be undergoing renovation. Our team is committed to improving the safety and quality of your home and community. We look forward to working closely with you to ensure that we have a successful renovation.
Over the next two years, you can expect to see us doing work in your hallways, roofs, outdoor spaces, and apartments. All apartments will receive new kitchens and bathrooms, including appliances, cabinetry, countertops, windows, flooring, doors, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. We will also upgrade the building access control system, entry doors and locks, install a fully integrated building security camera system, and modernize your elevator. We will overhaul the building’s heating, cooling, and hot water systems to provide reliable and comfortable heating, cooling, and hot water. We will also make improvements to the exterior and grounds of the development, including building facades and entryways, sidewalks, curbs, and the parking lot.
As we work through this exciting process, here are some things to keep in mind:
- All our employees and subcontractors are required to wear a photo ID. Please report anyone without an ID immediately to the Construction Office and never allow anyone to enter your apartment without proper identification.
- Please secure all valuables (i.e., money, jewelry, etc.) while work is being performed in your apartment.
- If you need special assistance/accommodation or have health or safety concerns during construction, do not hesitate to reach out to us at the contacts below.
- Your safety and the safety of your neighbors are of the utmost importance. Please report any unsafe conditions to the Construction Office at the contacts below.
We will make our best efforts to provide you with scheduling notices at least ten days before commencing work inside your apartment. Please help us make this rehabilitation successful by maintaining open communication and committing to the schedule.
Over the next two months, you can expect to see the following activities taking place:
- Work in the boiler room as we prepare for the upcoming heating season.
- Electrical work in interior and common areas.
- Ventilation work in both bathrooms and kitchens.
- Installation of bathroom flooring and Bathfitter.
- Façade renovations.
- Installation of sidewalk sheds and creation of safety-only zones where we can store our materials safely.
On Wednesday, July 9th at 6:30 pm, we will be hosting an informal meeting with all the residents to discuss the general schedule for the renovation of your building. We will be there to answer any questions you have. This meeting will be held in the community center at 2100 Monterey Ave, Bronx NY. We look forward to seeing everyone.
